Harvey Weinstein, Hollywood’s casting couch and Howard Stern

Who will be the next Harvey Weinstein? Who will be the next to fall in the entertainment industry? Could it be Howard Stern? British newspapers seem to think so. The Independent, Metro UK, The Sun, and Mirror have all published articles accusing Howard Stern of creepily degrading “Baby Spice” Emma Bunton in a 2005 interview.

The 2005 interview has Spice Girl Emma Bunton fending off “deeply inappropriate suggestive remarks” including what age she was when she first got her period.

“You’ve got a hot little body. I can see you girl-on-girl action, I can see you with two guys. I could see you doing a lot of things,” said Stern.

“My dad won’t be happy that you’re talking to me about this,” Bunton replies to which Stern comments: “He loves it.”

Howard proceeds to comment on her outfit, saying “I feel like you didn’t wear a bra just for me today? I feel like you’re not wearing panties today.”

“It’s turning me on a little bit,” Stern adds. Bunton replies: “Really? Good. That’s nice for you.”

Howard did not simply leave it there: “I bet when you were young you started in with boys, right? You were very developed. What age did you develop? 14? When did you get your period? How old were you?”

As longtime listeners of The Howard Stern Show, we have come to know Howard obviously has a fascination with prepubescent girls. He has continually brought up his love of babysitter porn and abhorrence of women with pubic hair. However, it’s still difficult to believe that the British media is so disturbed by this interview while ignoring mass rapes in the UK by Pakistani gangs on a daily basis.

Are they really looking to find the next Harvey Weinstein or is this a ploy for web traffic? At least these accusations have inspired right-minded people to shine a light on sexual abuse against women in Hollywood, which is apparently rampant.
