Artie Lange did not quit ‘The Nick and Artie Show’‎

Artie Lange never quit the Nick and Artie Show as prematurely reported by the Examiner. DirecTV did not confirm the details but stated “[Artie] was suspended for one day as a result of inappropriate behavior and will be back on the air tonight.”

Artie Lange ‏on Twitter today:

Back on the air tonight guys. For the record I LOVE Direct tv. Never worked for better people. And as you know. I’ve always been a pisser!!

Artie suspended by DirecTV for pissing during radio show

Former Howard Stern sidekick, Artie Lange has been suspended from The Nick and Artie Show for pissing on the studio floor and demanding two staffers clean it up.

Artie tweeted “Direct Tv has suspended me from the N&A show for the next 2 nights. They won’t tell me fully why. Can’t continue w them. Sorry guys. Luv u.”

Odd that Artie claims to not know why he was benched. Sources connected to the “Nick and Artie Show” tell TMZ the suspension came down because Artie urinated on the studio floor while on the air Friday. When told about his suspension Lange threatened to leave the show for good.

Is it possible we could see Artie return to the Stern Show if he ends up leaving DirecTV for good?

His last tweet, before deleting it, eluded to a possible solo venture into the world of Podcasting as Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla have done.

“Direct Tv are good ppl. I apologize to them for doing an offensive show. May do my own Podcast. Hope to see u all down the road.”

Stern Superfan Jeff Probst says “I’ve studied Howard for years.”

Jeff Probst is finally getting his own talkshow after years of hosting Survivor and Celebrity Superfan Roundtable on Howard 101.

The Survivor host said that he is in great admiration of America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern’s interviewing technique.

“The interviewing style of Howard Stern is so underappreciated,” Probst told audience members at the TCA summer press tour on Sunday (July 29).

“He keeps topics moving so quickly. His ability as an interviewer is something I’ve studied for years.”

Probst also cited Oprah Winfrey and Phil Donahue as influences, adding that he has no desire to chase ratings and “would never ask a guest a question that I wouldn’t be prepared to answer myself”.

“If you’re looking for Jerry [Springer] or Maury [Povich], this isn’t your show. We aren’t looking for people fighting onstage or paternity testing,” he added, promising viewers “something new”.

The Emmy Award-winning presenter’s syndicated talkshow The Jeff Probst Show will debut on September 10, 2012. CBS is handling distribution rights in North America.

Howard Stern responds to Mariah Carey’s $18 Million American Idol Deal

Howard Stern lost his spot as top dog in the reality TV world. Mariah Carey is now the highest-paid judge with her whopping $18-million “American Idol” contract.

“American Idol” creator and executive producer Simon Fuller released a gleeful statement about his newest hire, saying:

“We are proud to have one of the world’s greatest-ever female singers join our show,” said creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “Mariah defines the word ‘Idol’ and will inspire every singer that has the honor of performing in front of her.”

Sharon Osbourne quitting AGT

America’s Got talent, but it no longer has Sharon Osbourne … ’cause the AGT judge says she’s QUITTING the TV show for good.

Osbourne — who has been with “America’s Got Talent” since Season 2 — cryptically announced her exit from the show via Twitter on Tuesday, saying “My darling @howardstern, money is not the reason I’m not returning to @nbcagt, it’s because …”

Howard Stern calling for Assault Weapons Ban after Aurora Shooting

Despite being a gun owner himself, Howard Stern is calling for Obama to stand up to the NRA and pass a ban on all Assault Rifles.

“The real story is, the President of the United States and Mitt Romney — the two guys running to be President in 2012, they’re running currently — both of them are so fucking pussy-whipped by the NRA, the National Rifle Association, they’re such fucking cowards, the two of them, that neither one of them are willing to get up there and say we need a full ban on assault weapons.”

Artie Lange at the Sirius XM Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft

Artie Lange back with Sirius XM for the Third Annual Sirius XM Celebrity Fantasy Football draft.

Celebrities such as Maurice Jones-Drew, Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and Steve Phillips took part in the festivities, held at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square. They also took time to tell The Post about how they plan to attack the season.

“I’m going to be doing the drafting, I’m only going to draft guys from the ‘80s,” Comedian Nick DiPaolo, who picked alongside his co-host on Sirius XM Artie Lange, said. “We’re going Gale Sayers at the top, then Brian Piccolo.”

Lange echoed his partner’s sentiments:

“I’m a degenerate gambler so this is kind of like a trigger to me, my GA sponsor didn’t even want me here,” Lange said. “After my third pick, I’ll end up running guns to Cuba.”
